Fabulous Packaging
December 18th, 2007
For years now I’ve been drinking Arizona Green Tea and have always admired its beautiful packaging. It was the bottle, after all, that attracted me to it from the beginning. But it wasn’t until after I had captured these images on digital that I was able to see that the design is even more gorgeous than I first realized. Reminds me of a Japanese garden.

I have this habit of trying products based solely on their packaging, which sometimes proves to be a huge disappointment, but this cool and relaxing frosted green bottle with its lovely little pink flowers sprouting from willowy branches just drew me in … and it did not disappoint. Once I tasted the mild, yet distinct, taste of green tea infused with ginseng and honey, I was hopelessly hooked.

Since my first encounter with Arizona, I’ve learned to brew my own cold green tea blend, complete with fruit, honey and ginseng, which is quite nice and much less expensive. But I still pick up a bottle or two from time to time when I’m on the run.

Another packaging design that I found so engaging that it influenced me to make a 24-pack purchase was this one by Fuze promoting its Slenderize line. The colors are bright and cheery and the fruit looks absolutely inviting. Unfortunately, with the exception of the Strawberry Melon flavored one, the taste of the low calorie, low carb beverage inside these bottles was far from the deliciousness I had hoped for. Perhaps I was expecting too much from what basically boils down to yet another “diet” drink. Ah, but contents notwithstanding, the beautiful packaging itself is most undeniably attractive.
