Welcome to my image gallery. This is where I house (temporarily) the food, food-related, and other images I shoot. I adore beautiful images, and like good food and wine, I enjoy photography a lot, particularly food photography. Though I’ve only recently begun creating my own images again, photography is becoming more of a passion for me with each passing day.
Many foods, both cooked and raw, and beverages are absolutely beautiful and since they almost always cooperate without much effort on my part, they make perfect photography subjects. I try to shoot at least once a week and I look forward to improving as I learn more about this wonderful art.
These days I use my Nikon D50 digital SLR to shoot the majority of my images and I shot most of the ones featured in my gallery with it. A few of the older images were taken with my pretty baby, an Olympus D490, my first digital, which I purchased in 2001. I also own a Minolta X370 manual film SLR, a zoom lens and a 2x converter that I purchased waaaaay back in the day for a photography class during my freshman year of college.
The lenses that I am currently using are the Nikon 28-80mm f/3.3-5.6G AF Zoom (included in the camera kit) and the Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF, which I use almost exclusively for food shots. I plan to upgrade eventually; once I have mastered my camera and learned to better utilize the lenses I already own.
